The ACL Classic Tour was a resounding success once again, taking place on Ascension Day, 29 May, in pleasant weather.

Triumph, Trabant, Porsche, Mercedes, Peugeot, Lancia, MG, Corvette and Morgan… Parked in the ACL car park in Bertrange, the 152 crews, comprising just over 300 people (each crew consisting of a driver and a co-driver), took part in this museum-worthy rally, which featured a wide range of vehicles from the youngest old-timers to the oldest mechanics dating back to the 1930s.

In fact, this 23rd edition of the ACL Classic Tour included five pre-war cars, the oldest of which was a 1934 Alvis Speed.

At 9:01 a.m., the crews set off every 30 seconds on a 231.97 km route, kept secret until the day of the event and designed by Ed Goedert. He also devised a questionnaire combining culture, heritage and geography. Rich in bucolic landscapes and often little-known places, the tour passed through Kehlen, Nospelt, Leisbech, Septfontaines, Everlange, Schandel, Eschette, Heispelt, Hoffelt, Hautbellain, Hupperdange, Urspelt, Marnach, Bastendorf and Godbrange, among others.

The world’s largest collection of Steyr tractors

Halfway through, the ACL Classic Tour 2025 stopped off at Wemperhardt, a small village in northern Luxembourg, home to a real gem for agricultural machinery enthusiasts: the world’s largest private collection of Steyr tractors. The collection includes dozens of iconic models from the Austrian brand Steyr, ranging from the first post-war tractors to the most modern series. It traces the technological evolution of these robust agricultural machines, which have marked the history of European agriculture. A real gem of Luxembourg’s industrial and agricultural heritage.

At around 5 p.m., the crews arrived at the finish line at the Parc Hôtel Alvisse in Dommeldange to share a dinner and, above all, to debrief on a day full of colour and excitement.

The ACL would like to thank the event sponsors: Action Wear, APL, Valvoline, Bijouterie Hoffmann, Carshine, City Concorde, Demy Schandeler, Gridx, Losch Luxembourg, Luxauto.lu, Massen, M-Brokers, Motul, Roefs Trailers and Shell.
